Grievance Policy and How to Log a Grievance
At Pandora UK, we aim to provide a positive and respectful working environment for all employees. If you have concerns or issues related to your work, colleagues, or workplace conditions, our Grievance Policy is designed to help you raise these matters fairly and confidentially.
What is a Grievance?
A grievance is any concern, problem, or complaint you may have about your employment, working conditions, or relationships at work. Examples include:
- Unfair treatment or discrimination
- Workplace bullying or harassment
- Health and safety concerns
- Disputes with colleagues or managers
- Contractual or pay issues
Our Grievance Policy Principles
- We take all grievances seriously and will investigate them promptly and impartially.
- Confidentiality will be maintained as far as possible.
- You will not face any retaliation or victimization for raising a grievance in good faith.
- We encourage resolution informally where possible before using the formal process.
How to Raise a Grievance
Step 1: Informal Resolution (Recommended)
- If comfortable, try to resolve the issue by discussing it directly with the person involved or your line manager.
- You may also seek advice from HR or a trusted colleague.
Step 2: Formal Grievance Procedure
If informal resolution is not possible or appropriate, you can raise a formal grievance:
-
Submit Your Grievance in Writing
- Write a clear and concise statement outlining your grievance.
- Include relevant details such as dates, people involved, and any supporting evidence.
- Send your grievance to your line manager or directly to the HR Help Desk at hrhelpdesk@pandora.co.uk.
-
Acknowledgement
- You will receive an acknowledgment of your grievance within 3 working days.
-
Investigation
- HR or a designated manager will investigate the grievance thoroughly.
- This may involve interviews and gathering further information.
-
Grievance Meeting
- You will be invited to a meeting to discuss your grievance and provide any additional information.
-
Outcome
- After the investigation and meeting, you will receive a written outcome and any proposed actions.
-
Appeal
- If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you have the right to appeal. Details will be provided in the outcome letter.
Support Available
- You may bring a work colleague or trade union representative to any grievance meetings.
- HR is available to provide guidance and support throughout the process.
